The long promised Cyril Davies Memorial album Preachin’ the Blues has just been released by Magpie and Amazon. It includes the All Star tracks, like Country Line Special, released on Pye just prior to his death.
An EP of tracks from an All Stars radio session in 1963 will be on sale in October. There will be a small launch party on the evening of Nov 20th to coincide with the anniversary of Cyril’s 1st gig with the All Stars. It will be held at Intoxica Records in Cecil Court in London WC2. It is free entry and the disc will be on sale there on the night. Smiler Anderson who wrote the sleeve notes for the EP will be playing vinyl from the era
